Love Island 2024: Southampton bombshell Hugo Godfroy on ITV show

24-year-old Huge Godfroy, from Southampton, will join a host of new bombshells joining the villa as part of the ITV2 show’s regular Casa Amor twist.

It sees the couples split from one another, with a new group of potential partners thrown in to see who will stay coupled up with their original match, and who is not so loyal.

Hugo, an electrician, entered the 11th season of the show last night, June 30.

According to ITV, Hugo describes himself as “massively driven” and he’s looking for someone he can have a laugh with and who doesn’t take themselves too seriously.

Prior to heading into the show, Hugo said he has his eye on Uma and Jess and is prepared to “step on some toes to find love”.

Speaking before heading into the villa, Hugo said: “I’ll be an honest Islander and I’m never afraid to be myself.

“I always take people’s opinions on board but I’m not a yes man – I’m going in there to find love and prepared to step on toes to do so.

“I like Uma, I think she carries herself well and seems very respectful. The same with Jess as my type is brunette.”

Hugo’s entrance has already caused a stir on the show as his entrance seemed to catch the eye of some of the girls, including Jess and Uma.

The Southampton-born lad has also caused a stir on social media when fans pointed out that he and contestant, Nicole, already followed each other on Instagram.

Hugo is not the only Hampshire resident to enter the Love Island villa this year.

Portsmouth’s Mimii Ngulube has been part of the reality show filmed in Majorca since the start.

The 24-year-old works as a mental health nurse and is described as “wifey material”.

She explained: “The pool in Portsmouth is not giving. I’ve tried dating, speaking to people on social media and it just hasn’t been successful. Applying was a spontaneous thing, I didn’t expect to get here!”

Love Island airs Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
