Queen Anne: Disembarking delay a ‘shambles’ say passengers

Cunard’s newest liner Queen Anne returned to its homeport of Southampton this morning.

But it was not plain sailing for hundreds of passengers stuck in lengthy queues.

Describing the ordeal on social media, one person said: “Disembarking from Queen Anne this morning was a shambles. Port staff said [they had] never seen such slow unloading from a ship.

“This was nothing to do with passengers and everything to do with Cunard.”

Another passenger said it was a ‘debacle’ and shared a shocking video showing queues of people across three floors of the ship.

Cunard said the incident was caused by a small delay arriving in the port.

A spokesperson said: “There was a slight delay arriving in Southampton today which caused some congestion on board during disembarkation.

“All guests were able to disembark by 10.35am, but we apologise to any guests who were impacted by the delay.”
